Cabo San Lucas
February 2021: We visited Cabo San Lucas which is definitely a must-visit location.
This part of Mexico is gorgeous and the weather is dry and consistent, unlike the Atlantic. If you are like us, and find yourself watching the weather 10 days before your trip, this is a what-you-see-is-what-you-get situation. For example, if the weather says 80 and sunny 10 days out, there is a 90% chance its going to be 90% and sunny.
Where did we stay?
We stayed at the Pacifica Golf & Spa Resort Pueblo Bonito.
What did we eat?
Fantastic food! The buffet is good but the restaurants are amazing. One particular meal we ordered grilled crab and they brought out a piece of wood, with crab grilling in shell on top of a bed of coals. Cool presentation and absolutely delicious.
What did we do?
The highlight of the trip was the Cabo Sky Tours with Ernesto. Jamie flew over two pods of whales, both included a mother and a baby and Sean flew over a pod of dolphins. Looking at the photos, you may not think this small “go-cart with wings” isn’t safe but the pilot knows what he’s doing. We were a little apprehensive before booking the tour until we saw the TripAdvisor and Google ratings. Both of which have 5-star reviews. If you travel to Cabo, put this on your list.
Would we recommend?
Add Cabo to your list if you haven’t been. It really is a beautiful place to visit and there is a lot to do off your resort.
What makes this location unique?
Same as Punta Mita, you can see Humpback Whales breaching between December and April. In fact, we would sit outside our ocean view room and watch Humpback’s breach in the middle of the afternoon.
